Fernando Valderrabano

Fernando Valderrabano is a fully bilingual attorney, fluent in both English and Spanish, with experience across multiple fields of law. He began his legal career in immigration law, specializing in asylum defense and adjustment of status, before moving into personal injury as a plaintiff’s attorney and occasionally handling criminal defense matters. He has since focused his practice exclusively on family law, representing clients in custody, divorce, paternity, and modification cases, alternative dispute resolution, protective orders, restraining orders, and child protective orders, as well as enforcement of existing court orders.

Fernando earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts, and later his Juris Doctor with a Health Law Concentration from Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska. While in law school, he completed mediation training and received certification to mediate in the state of Nebraska. He sat for the bar exam immediately after graduation and was admitted to the Utah Bar shortly after moving to Utah — the only state where he has practiced law.

When he’s not in the office, Fernando can usually be found playing the drums — he’s been an avid musician since his teenage years — trying out a new recipe in the kitchen, hiking, traveling abroad, swimming through the summer, or spending time with friends and family.
